The extraordinay story of Adam Neumann, a wild and colourful entrepreneur who hit upon the idea of renting sub-prime office blocks and turning them into trendy shared workspaces under the WeWork brand. After breakneck growth across the USA and Europe, Neumann’s prestigiousbackers asked him to halt his exansion and consolidate. But along came Masayoshi Son, the billionaire leader of the Japanese tech investor Softbank. Son saw a gleam in Neumann’s eye, and pumped $4 billion into WeWork, urging Neumann to greater expansion. Things went very wrong, and Neuman was sacked - but walked away with more than a billion dollars.
